more Texas wildflowers . . .

my favorite! especially scattered among bluebonnets
very papery petals, like regular poppies
the honeysuckle was an unexpected surprise in a wooded area
. . . and a random sketch, arriving too early at church.

  1. Lovely job on the flowers. You will have to do the Texas blue bonnets when they bloom. They will always remind me of Ladybird Johnson. :)

  2. I sketched a bluebonnet first in this sketchbook (in a previous post). They have been blooming over 6 weeks now and are just about gone to seed now. The huge swaths of purple-blue in all the meadows around here have been amazing!
