Even though it's been cold today, our roadsides are quickly filling up with bluebonnets
and Indian paintbrush, blanket flower and evening primrose. Bluebonnets have been blooming since the end of February, a full month earlier than usual. And it's looking like this year will be a bumper crop!
How lovely, Vicky! So fresh and joyous sketch...
ReplyDeleteThe joyous season is here:-)
Wildflowers are a lovely "smile" from God!
DeleteVicky, I love your bluebonnet sketch. It makes me miss living in Houston. I used to love all of the bluebonnets and indian paintbrush flowers blanketing the sides of the roadways. Too bad they won't grow here in North Carolina! They are so beautidul!
ReplyDeleteThey are so much more than I ever expected before we moved to Texas! Our kids had told us of meadows full of them but it's something that must be experienced.
DeleteMy favorite flower of all time is heather -- it wouldn't do well here but might in your area.
