At one of the properties our daughter and son-in-law looked at, we found some prickly pear cactus growing. It grows wild in the countryside around here (
full of extremely sharp needles!), but this one was a cultivated kind (
no needles). Only 2 fruits left . . .
Hi Vicky, Your reference to “Intimacy with God through Journaling” got my attention because I journal my thoughts and prayers. So I looked it up on Amazon and then notice that this author references “Dialogue with God.” Have you read that? I am considering ordering it.
ReplyDeleteNo, I haven’t read “Dialogue With God” but when Janet Gilham mentioned it I looked it up. I downloaded the free sample to check it out but haven’t read it yet. I’ve only just started the one on journaling, which I downloaded a few years ago when the ebook was free but never got around to reading until now.
DeleteI tend to do that — download lots of free ebooks when offered on daily lists from sites like Book Bub, then forget to actually read them as they get lost in my “to be read” list!
Ha Ha! I do the same thing!
ReplyDeleteI had intended to read this journaling book as a daily devotional . . . but ended up reading 3 days at once yesterday morning. This morning, I planned to stick with just one day . . . but the day following today’s bit was dated my birthday! I _had_ to read it also, right? 😄
DeleteYes, of course! 😉
ReplyDeleteWhat journal do you recommend for a beginner?
ReplyDeleteI first learned with Strathmore paper from Hobby Lobby. Their ring-bound Visual Journal makes a great journal. Hand Book artist journals are also nice and come in various shapes and sizes.
DeleteA bit pricier but great (and quite durable!) sketchbook journal is anything from Stillman & Birn. I especially like their soft cover versions. All take ink and watercolor well; if you like working in wetter juicy washes, stick to the heavier weight papers like the Beta series.
