With all the medical drama of past weeks, Bill and I are both . . . simply tired. So yesterday I sketched a simple sketch, of some mushrooms in our yard. The larger ones seemed to be wearing wee caps atop their caps.
Drawn with a Noodler’s Creaper flex nib fountain pen and J. Herbin Lie de The water-soluble ink and a bit of watercolor in a Stillman and Birn Zeta sketchbook.
Such a sweet delicate sketch!
ReplyDeleteI found out after posting this that September was national mushroom month?
DeleteSimple pleasures … rest up.
ReplyDeleteWe plan to!
DeleteThat really captured the essence of the mushroom, love this peace.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteMaybe simple, but lovely!
ReplyDeleteMy best wishes to you both!
Medical stuff can be tiring but the outcome has been worth it. Weirdly, Bill’s chronic “damaged nerve” pain is completely gone! Two different doctors have now speculated that it was possibly a warning symptom of heart issues and not a damaged nerve — that the nerve was not getting enough blood flow.
