This is looking east out our front door from the angle of sitting down in our livingroom; this street is about 25 feet from our huge front porch. The busier street, where all the foot traffic is, is to the south, about 27 feet from our building. The "back yard" is our small parking lot to the west of the building.
This a great sketch. Thanks. Your place sounds like one we moved from eight years ago.. in SO CAL.. not much of a yard and kids used to mess with my plants too. I did have a small breezeway in the center of the townhouse from garage to house that allowed me to have a potted garden in there. Now I go crazy with plants. :)
My favorite flower is heather or flowering herbs. But anything in blue/purple or red is awesome! I remember Oregon's climate as being wonderful for growing things.
My little dog has a thing for Robins and often sits by the window or door looking out like this. Your "baby" is grown up......wow!! Beautiful illustration and love the title.
Ceilidh is just SURE that she will be able to catch the next robin she sees! As to being grown up? She still has LOTS to learn about submitting to me --- walking her can be such a struggle! But eventually she'll "get" what I'm asking of her.
Oh this is absolutely adorable. I LOVE it. I was going to suggest you paint your front so we can see how close it is to the road. Wow. It IS close.
