the long drive home
This sketch shows only about half of our driveway, bordered by young live oak trees. When I walk down to get the mail, our outdoor cat Stubby will only go half-way. Then she sits and waits for me next to one of the trees. On the walk back, she plays “tree tag”, tapping each one as we pass.
Oh, long way, Vicky, but nice. Looks you live in a calm in this crazy time :-) Stay safe!
ReplyDeleteWonderful page, BTW!
This is a very peaceful place, at least most of the time. There is a neighbor with too many barking dogs, and another that hosts very loud night parties with music blasting away (heavy on the bass amps) every other month. But each property is 5 acres or greater in size; ours is set so far back from the road that we feel like we are very removed from the neighborhood.
DeleteWe’ve had our own craziness: Bill is slowly recovering from a second neck / spine surgery and our granddaughter’s school has had a large outbreak of COVID-19, complicating our lives since she was living out here once in a while. Thanksgiving is a problem this year — do our kids come and if so, how do we keep everyone safe?
But we will get through it all with the Lord’s help and grace. I hope you and your loved ones are keeping safe and blessed.
Oh, dear Vicky, wishing you Lord’s help and grace. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jana. God is very good at watching over us all!
