drawing w/o inspiration

I don't know if it's sinus-blahs or blustery weather or what . . . but I was feeling particularly uninspired. So I drew what was in front of me.

Later, when I wrote the verse in the upper corner, my new Noodler's Ahab pen suddenly started spitting ink. I've heard that this can happen when it's half-empty --- I'll refill it and see if the spitting stops.

  1. Very nice. Did you use pencil at all or go straight for the ink? Lots of details here.

  2. I drew this directly in ink, lightly at first. In fact, there were some inaccuracies in the first lines that later tonal values (scribbling line work) covered up!

I'm more comfortable using a faint pencil guideline first but I've been doing a 75-day ink challenge -- just for the confidence it builds.

  4. Hello, Ophelia! Glad my silliness could inspire you.
