I snapped a few photos with my iPhone as we drove by, then sketched from them later at home. Goofed on that copper steeple though — it should be taller.
To add the ink lines and text, I re-inked another favorite fountain pen that hasn’t been used for a while. This is the Pilot Namiki fountain pen filled with De Atramentis Document black ink. Writes so smooth with a flexible nib! A special gift from Bill.
Oh such a lovely sketch Vicky. Old churches make wonderful subjects for sketching. Hope you are doing alright. Will continue to pray for you.
ReplyDeleteStudying a Google satellite map, I found that this old church is on a property owned by World Changers — there is a large modern structure further behind it that is used for services today. But I love the look of these old churches! I’ve seen a similar one SW of Houston when one of our sons lived in Richmond.
DeleteOnly one more chemo treatment to go (and very little side effects), then on to radiation. God is taking very good care of me and prayers are being answered, thanks!
