and it begins . . .

Checked Bill into the hospital yesterday . . . drew this thingy on the wall while waiting for "night before surgery" procedures. Now he is in being prepped (double by-pass) and I'm filling time in the waiting room. Expect to be waiting for the next 3 - 4 hours. Trusting the Lord to be right beside him.

  3. Thanks, Elaine and "Firebird" --- prayers much appreciated! I am so grateful for your comments too.

Surgery went as expected, all blockage removed. We were able to go see him very briefly in ICU; not quite fully conscious yet and lots of tubes still in. In much pain but they were taking care of that. Scary to see him like this but my sis-in-law ( a nurse) says he won't even remember this part.

  4. I just saw your post (a few hours after surgery)....I am so thankful that this part is behind you both and the surgery went well! I will be praying that Bill's recovery goes smoothly, and his painful days are limited. God Bless!

  5. Thank you, Debo. Friends like you are a very precious gift for which I am very thankful.

Bill is still in a lot of pain and hasn't really slept since Saturday night --- but the Lord has brought him this far and I know He is working it all out. All the nurses say he will have a great full recovery, being so _young_. Turning 62 next month and they consider him as young --- Hope he is listening to them.

  6. He is young Vicky. My Uncle just turned 95 and still doing good. :) Its always interesting what you sketch. I always have a hard time finding something to sketch. Guess I always think the ordinary isn't interesting enough to spend time drawing it..but it is when you sketch them. :)

  7. Cris, anything and everything can be an interesting subject to sketch! As humans, we tend to attach meaning and memory to the smallest of things. I have sketched things that I personally think are too boring to bother with . . . only to find that others really respond to them. Curious!
