Drawings on white paper done with Elegant Writer calligraphy pens, when touched with a damp brush, release unexpected bits of teal and pink in the resulting washes. I was wondering if the same would happen on toned paper. It did not, but I had fun drawing Bill’s coffee grinder and French Press coffee pot.
I love this, and I am intrigued that when you did it on white paper it released teal and pink. I love playing with chromatographic inks and will pull out my Elegant Writer pens to play with. I love your sketches of regular, daily-life objects; this is sketch is inspiring!
ReplyDeleteOlder Elegant Writer pens seemed to release more color than newer ones (could they have changed their formula?), and sometimes I only got the pinker tones by dabbing the dampened washes lightly with a tissue. Fun to explore the unpredictable outcomes!
