Not even an art supply store. I drive up past Kansas City, MO to meet up with other sketchers when I can, a three-hour drive one way. Worth it!Vicky L. We think it's related to this "instant gratification" attitude; they expect to become wonderful artists without putting in the day-to-day practice that those of us who sketch develop as a habit. Also, there didn't seem to be much commitment -- class starts at 7 pm but many didn't show up until 7:30 or later.Vicky L. Its really good. Bummer about people dropping out. Wonder why they lost interest. Before moving here, I used to go to an Oil painting class from beginners to very very good painters just to be with others that painted and we did shows. I missed it so much which is why I ended up blogging, but its not the same as someone with you in person. and yes there are probably groups here but it wouldnt be the same. Hope it works out for you.Cris, Artist in Oregonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15067969984221375853noreply@blogger.com
