for the sake of free shipping

I was ordering vitamins and supplements from Amazon and was just "that much" under the total amount required for free shipping . . . . so I bought this small black bag. Holds an amazing amount of sketching tools, easy to access, and even a regular-size sketchbook will fit in the main pocket.

I tried painting the "black" using lunar blue but even after spritzing the pan a few minutes before using, the color would not pick up or mix easily. It's been in the full-size plastic pan for several years (over half gone now) --- maybe it's too old? It's a PrimaTek paint from Daniel Smith.

  2. Vicki, I ordered the bag here:
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01J1ZM3MC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1
which says "MeiYLXin" on the leather tag and has a leather band on the lower section. But what they sent is slightly different, as shown in my sketch, and the leather tag reads "RuYillnang". Not the same bag as ordered . . . but I like it better!

  3. The one I received is more like this one:

  6. Thanks for information. Merry Christmas! Do you still have your Scotty?

  7. Merry Christmas to you as well! My Scottie went to visit our youngest son when he was in college . . . and they totally fell for each other. Scotties are notorious for choosing their own special person and she chose Jeff. Now he's graduated and soon starting grad school, and Ceilidh is still with him.

  8. I can't tell you how many little extras I've bought on Amazon over the years for the sake of free shipping! It wasn't so bad when all you had to spend was $25, but now it's up to $49. That's a harder limit to meet. I hope you enjoy your bag!

Merry Christmas, Vickie! Thank you for another year of sharing your wonderful sketches.

  9. It is harder since Amazon raised the limit for free shipping! I usually hold off on orders until I need to reorder vitamins or supplements, loose-leaf tea that I can't find locally, or sometimes even greenies snacks for our cat!

Have a blessed Christmas, Susan! And thank you for your encouraging comments -- they are much appreciated!

    1. Sorry I spelled your name wrong! It just hit me out of the blue that I'd done that, so I had to come back and check.

I often do the same--round out an order with bones for the dogs or supplements for myself. No complaints from the dogs, of course!

    2. No problem; people often spell my name differently. When I was in high school, I even spelled it wrong -- perhaps a bit of rebellion?
