slowly progressing

Now that my left eye's swelling is gone, I am better able to focus enough to sketch it. The "white" of the eye was very red, not from the surgery but from the "trauma" of being worked on. Not as scary as it looked!

My left and right eyes are not playing well together, with 2 cataracts still in the right one. But I have surgery on the right one this Thursday, after which I will be able to see without glasses. So worth it!

  3. I suppose this the surgery it she will have been with the laser. This makes to me happy that everything improves in a suitable way. Even if an operation is absent yet, the day to have a spectacular vision approaches...
    Good sketch!

  4. No, a laser was not used. Through a tiny needle insertion, the doctor broke up and removed my damaged lens, then inserted a new acrylic lens (rolled up) and positioned it in place. It's a bit like having contact lens but permanently on the inside of my eye.

However they do it, I am thankful for restored vision. My grandmother went blind and it's not a fun thing to deal with.

  5. My mom recently went through laser surgery. One eye, then the other. She is greatly improved. Hoping the very best for you. Your drawing is a wonderful and honest account of every day as it matters.
